Angela from Queen Adwoa's Closet here! This week on The Daily Fashion Fix, I'm reporting live from Bali, Indonesia! ... As always, you know a really cool blog and video post is coming on my adventures, but in the meantime? Let's get into this chic jungle - ready vacation look!
First up? Lets talk about the top I'm wearing. Unless I can help it? I'm firmly a part of "team carry-on" when it comes to luggage. No one has time to climb across anyone's reception desk to argue with a customer service rep about my missing luggage. Basically, that means the anything I pack needs to flexible and give multiple cute wears. A timeless fashion fave of mine when traveling is taking traditional West African print fabric and converting in to a unique top.
If you're late to the party, check out my prior post and learn how to replicate my favorite d.i.y tops from African fabric on the QAC youtube blog channel! Post / direct link button below ...
At any rate, what I absolutely love about this look? Apart from it giving me cool 1970's vibes with the bell bottom flare of the pants, is how comfy and reminiscent these bottoms are to the traditional rice-farming pants worn my Balinese men long ago. Wide legged legged and airy, it's perfect for keeping cool on long summer day. In short, after finding these pants on Khaadi's site I knew I had to have them!
Balinese inspiration mixed with West African style ... A meeting of two amazing cultures and I couldn't feel more beautiful.
