As the seasons change and September warmth turns into a slight October chill, time getting creative with my summery looks is always a welcomed part of my to fall fashion style. Take for example this week's look. It has l the flavors of fall, while still airy and light enough to accommodate a sun that's not quite ready to give up its summer warmth.
Denim is always a timeless classic and can be dressed up of down regardless of the season. Here, I chose to wear a simple pair of vintage stoned washed, high-waisted jeans from Wrangler. The the darker wash denim alludes to fall, however the cuffing at each leg reminds you a bit of a high water / capri look ... Definitely a summertime fave.
To complete the look, rather than a basic t-shirt, I chose a simple tank top tucked into the jeans with a pop of color adding a bit of spice to the look. To achieve this, I chose to use one of my favorite body wrappahs. This look can also be achieved with a favorite long scarf from your own closet.
With your material of choice on hand, your printed top can be created in the following three steps:
1. Take your body wrap or scarf and throw it over your shoulders. Let all of the material fall forward over your chest.
2. Once the material is draped forward, adjust fabric over your bosom as you like. You can fluff and spread the material as full or as narrow as you would like.
3. Secure your top with a fun belt, tucking body wrap tabs (if you have them) under the belt. I chose a vintage 1980's belt from my moms closet. It's older than I am!
As always ... The Journey Continues!
